Introduction to Simulation - FULL

We are pleased to announce that will be running an North East Simulation Network Introduction to Simulation course at North Tees Hospital on Tuesday 30th August.

This one day programme is predominantly aimed to welcome the new simulation fellows or teaching fellows that have simulation as part of their rotation, commencing their programmes this coming year.

As this day did not run in 2021, the invite is open to trainees who have extended or completed a simulation fellow post in 2021-2022. The day will outline some of the theoretical background to Simulation Based Education, the basics of delivering a simulation session and an introduction to debriefing. The expectation is that more in depth training will occur in the base units.

The benefit of attending the regional day is to meet with other colleagues who are also undertaking simulation or teaching fellow posts, meet with previous simulation fellows who can give advise on how to gain the most benefit during this year, be aware of the regional opportunities and useful resources to help you get the most from the training post now and after completion. As the day is about networking with colleagues, at present, this will be a face to face study day.

We will have the lead for the North East Simulation & Teaching Fellow Interest Group (NESTFIG) as faculty on the day who can advise of ways to get involved at Regional level if interested.

Please circulate this to the relevant teams. The invitation is open to medical staff and new simulation nursing educators. Numbers are restricted to 15 so please apply early. Places can be reserved by sim team leads & managers for incoming sim fellow trainees who may not have commenced their placements yet.
