About The Course
The North East Simulation Network will be hosting two Faculty Development Days at the Knowledge Exchange Hub, Northumbria University, Coach Lane
Campus, Coach Lane, Benton, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE7 7XA on the 23rd and 24th October 2019.
The Hints, Tips and Tricks session is aimed at faculty who may be running sessions without the assistance of a simulation technician available or for newly appointed technicians.
The Debriefing Masterclass is for participants who have already attended a basic intro to simulation course but wish to improve confidence and delivery of debriefing.

Wednesday 23rd October: Hints, Tips and Tricks.

This course will allow participants to gain an in-depth understanding of the
manikins that are used most frequently within their organisation and will
focus on equipment set-up, manikin maintenance, trouble shooting and
Thursday 24th October: Debriefing Masterclass.
Number of delegates: 12
Time: 09:00 – 16:00hrs.
This masterclass will examine the core components of a high-quality
simulation and how this informs and guides the subsequent debrief.
Participants will engage with different theories of debriefing and identify
which approach is best suited to simulations that are delivered within their
organisation. Through a process of active participation delegates will
deliver and participate in a simulation and debrief session.
